University of Utah Office of International Education records 1971-1982

The Office of International Education opened in 1976 with Anita Baker as director. The office provided information on study and travel abroad as well as participating in study abroad programs with the Northwest Interinstitutional Council on Study Abroad and the American Heritage Association. The office closed in 1980, a year after Dr. Baker was replaced by Turid Lipman. Approximately two years later, another study abroad office was opened as part of the International Center. This collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, and brochures related to study abroad programs sponsored in conjunction with the NICSA and AHA, as well as to the operation of the office.
